In February 2010, another devastating blow struck—McQueen’s mother, Joyce, passed away from cancer. He was incredibly close to her, often describing her as his biggest supporter. The grief from her death was overwhelming, pushing him further into despair. Just days later, on February 11, 2010, McQueen was found dead—one day before his mother’s funeral.
